A showcase of paintings and illustrations from Botanical Art Worldwide 2025

Developed for Botanical Art Worldwide 2025, a connected network of exhibitions and events across 29 countries celebrating botanical illustration, Botanica Scotia displays a selection of artworks capturing the diversity of Scotland’s heritage crops.

For 2025, artists were invited to focus on biodiversity in Scotland’s crops, exploring those that are challenged by monoculture, climate change and habitat loss. This exhibition was originally displayed during World Botanical Art Day on 18 May 2025 in Edinburgh and presented by Botanica Scotia and Scottish Society of Botanical Artists (SSBA).

Scottish Society of Botanical Artists are a charitable organisation dedicated to nurturing and promoting botanical art. For more information, visit their website.
